This website uses the Google Tag Manager. By using this service, website tags can be administrated via an online surface. The Google Tag Manager just implements the tags. This means there are no cookies used and no personal data is processed. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags which may collect some data. Anyway, the Google Tag Manager doesn’t access this data. A deactivation on domain or cookie level will apply to all tags which have been implemented by the Google Tag Manager.

This website uses Google Analytics, which is a service for web analysis by Google Inc. (“Google“), by using the Google Tag Manager. Google Analytics uses so called „Cookies“ which are text files, stored on the device of the user, that enable the analysis of the usage of a website. Information, which is generated by the user while using the website, is usually transmitted to a server hosted by Google in the US and it is also being stored there.

The IP anonymization on this website is active. This option is regulated by the Google Tag Manager within the internal settings, it is not visible in the source code. This setup ensures that IP addresses are anonymized in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection law. Within the European Union and/or member states of the European Economic Area IP addresses of Google users are truncated before transmission. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to the server of Google in the United States of America. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate the usage of the website by users, to create reports concerning the website activities and to perform services related to the usage of the website and internet to the operator.

Your IP address, which is transmitted to Google by your browser, will not be connected with any other data which Google has collected from you. You can prevent the storage of these cookies by respective settings of your browser. We kindly inform you that in this case, some functions of the website will be limited or not available to the full extent. A user can furthermore prevent the collection and processing of data (including the IP- address), which is created by the cookies of Google. The appropriate Plugin for your browser can be downloaded here:

For the continuous improvement of this website and its analysis we have activated the Google Analytics report. This report shows the performance based on demographic features and interests. The Google Analytics Report therefore contains data regarding the analysis of the website, demographic features and interests. Google also relies on so called third party cookies (e.g. Double Click Cookies) to collect this information. You can prevent Google Analytics from acquiring your data by clicking on the following link.

Within the online offer of ENGEL, it might be the case that third-party content like YouTube videos, maps (Google), RSS- feeds or graphics from different websites are included. To offer this service, the provider (hereinafter referred to as „third party supplier“) has to receive the IP address of the user, otherwise it is not possible to send information to the browser. The IP address is therefore required to provide the content. ENGEL chose to only revert on content from providers who use the IP addresses only to provide content.

However, we have no influence on whether the third party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. If we are aware of such a procedure, we will inform the users accordingly and reassess the integration of the corresponding content.

We refer to the privacy guideline for products of Google for further information concerning privacy at Google.

We refer to the privacy policy of Google for any further information about all Google services.

The following technology is used on our website.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect against misuse of our forms by bots (automated programs) and to prevent spam, we use the Google service reCAPTCHA on our website, which is operated by Google Ireland Limited. The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether data is entered on our website by a human or an automated program. For this purpose, the behavior of the website visitor is analyzed by reCAPTCHA based on various characteristics. This analysis is automated and, according to the provider, is performed by processing the following data.

The "I am not a bot" checkbox (reCAPTCHA v2) prompts the user to click a checkbox that ensures the user is not a bot. This is done, for example, by selecting images that must have certain properties (e.g. "Select all images with stairs").

Within the scope of this service, data transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.

For more information about Google reCAPTCHA, please see Google's privacy policy and further information about Google reCAPTCHA.

Google Tag Manager

Our website uses the Google Tag Manager, operated by Google Ireland Limited.

When starting the Google Tag Manager, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers. Through this, Google obtains knowledge that our website was accessed from your IP address.

The Tag Manager is a service that allows us to manage website tags through an interface. This allows code snippets such as tracking codes to be included without interfering with the source code. In doing so, the data is only forwarded by the Tag Manager, but not collected or stored. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, this applies to all tracking tags implemented with the Tag Manager.

Within the scope of this service, data transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.

For more information about the Tag Manager, see Google's privacy policy and the Google Tag Manager FAQs and Terms of Service.

Meta Pixel (previously known as Facebook Pixel)

The Meta Pixel service of the social network Facebook is used on our website for the optimization and economic operation of our online offer. It is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

Meta pixels enable Facebook to determine the target group our website visitors belong to in order to display ads (so-called "Facebook ads"). We use Meta pixels to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have shown interest in our online presence or have corresponding characteristics (e.g. interest in certain topics).

In addition, by using Meta Pixel, the effectiveness of Facebook ads can be tracked for statistical and market research purposes.

Within the scope of this service, data transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.

In the course of using Meta Pixels, cookies are used.

These cookies allow Facebook to match your user data (such as IP address, user ID) with the data of your Facebook account. The collected data is anonymous and not visible to us and can only be used in the context of advertisements. You can prevent the linking with your Facebook account by logging out before you take any action.

You can find more information and details about the Meta Pixel in the Meta help section.

For more information about Facebook's processing of personal data, please see Facebook's Data Policy.

This website uses SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Section 6 paragraph 1 lit.f GDPR) in order to collect and save data on marketing, market research and optimization purposes.

Facebook privacy notice

Facebook is a product offered by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Facebook Ireland Limited has changed its name to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited as of 04.01.2022. The name change has already been reflected in the applicable privacy policy and, according to Meta, does not affect the transfer or use of data. For more information about Meta, please visit Meta's website.

According to the case law of the European Court of Justice, operators of a so-called fan page on Facebook are considered joint controllers and are thus obliged to operate the respective fan page in accordance with the provisions of the applicable data protection law, such as the GDPR in particular.

In this sense, it is ENGEL's concern, as the operator of such a fan page, to provide the best possible information about the relevant processing activities and data protection measures.

The joint processing under Article 26 GDPR that exists in this context has been acknowledged by Facebook Ireland Limited. Under the reference to Facebook's Page Insights Supplement, joint responsibility includes the creation of events and their aggregation into Page Insights, which are then made available to Page operators.

In this context, an "event" is, for example, the marking of a post with "Like".

Page administrators do not have access to the personal data that is processed as part of events. Events that are logged by Facebook to create Page Insights are determined exclusively by Facebook and cannot be changed or otherwise influenced by the Page administrator.

Facebook refers to separate accountability with regard to all other data processing of a page (including its content). Visit the Page Insights information for more information for data subjects.

Information on the processing of personal data by ENGEL can be found in the data protection information on the ENGEL website. You can access this via our Facebook fan page.

A fan page is a user account on Facebook that can be set up by private individuals or companies. Facebook Insights is an indispensable, free component of the fan page that enables the operator to evaluate anonymized statistical data of the users. Facebook collects and processes the corresponding, personal user data by means of cookies. Facebook decides on the type, scope and purpose of the data processing.

Cookies are placed by Facebook on the devices of the respective users regardless of the existence of a registered Facebook account. The mere opening of a fan page therefore already triggers the processing of personal data by Facebook. In principle, such cookies placed by Facebook remain active on the respective devices for two years, unless they are actively deleted. The user data collected in this way is subsequently anonymized by Facebook, aggregated and transmitted to the operator of the fan page without direct personal reference.

For more information, see Facebook's Cookie Policy.

Facebook treats the specific scope of data collection as absolutely confidential and refuses any disclosure. In the interests of transparency, however, we are keen to provide information to the greatest possible extent.

ENGEL does not receive any data from users without a registered Facebook account as part of Facebook Insights. The collection and processing of personal data is controlled exclusively by Facebook. All information in this regard can be found in Facebook's privacy policy.

As the operator of the ENGEL Facebook fan page, ENGEL has the option of filtering user statistics by age and gender. However, this data cannot be traced back to individual persons.

ENGEL also receives aggregated information about the online times (by day of the week and time of day) of users accessing the fan page; again, without any reference to individual persons. Facebook Insights makes it possible to obtain anonymized information about the origin of accessing users (fans, subscribers, reached and otherwise interacting persons). For example, a breakdown by region, country or city is possible. In addition, a statistical analysis can also be created according to "gender", "age" and "language" of the users.

To protect the privacy of Facebook users, all personal data collected is anonymized. In the course of statistical evaluations, only norm values or percentages are displayed, and Facebook does not provide statistics with fewer than 100 people. For more information, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy.

Facebook Insights makeit possible to select statistics based on anonymized demographic data according to age, gender and place of residence. Facebook assures that the demographic details collected are based exclusively on data provided by users on their Facebook profile. These statistics can be displayed on a daily basis and for specific date ranges.

Apart from the functionalities of Facebook Insights, it is possible for ENGEL as operator of the ENGEL Facebook fan page to view profiles of those persons who have liked posts of the fan page or the fan page itself via Facebook notifications. In addition, it is possible to retrieve a list of names of those persons who have liked or subscribed to the ENGEL fan page.

This list can be used to view Facebook profiles and all the data made public by the profile owner. Every Facebook user is free to customize the privacy of profile information in the settings.

An automated evaluation of the profile data is not possible. As the operator of the fan page, ENGEL has the option of removing or blocking persons from the list. A blocked person can no longer post, comment or similar on the ENGEL Facebook page.

Facebook users have the option of actively hiding a Like or no longer following a fan page. Under the Facebook settings, the privacy settings can also be edited.

Instagram privacy notice

Instagram is a product offered by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

Facebook Ireland Limited has changed its name to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited as of 04.01.2022. The name change has already been reflected in the applicable privacy policy and, according to Meta, does not affect the transfer or use of data. For more information about Meta, please visit Meta's website.

As the operator of an ENGEL Instagram account, it is our concern to inform you about the data protection-relevant aspects in this context. When using Meta products, information and content provided by the respective user is collected. This includes registering for an account, creating or sharing content, and exchanging messages.

ENGEL does not receive any information regarding interaction with ENGEL on Instagram from persons without a registered Instagram account. Instagram allows to view a list of registered followers. If a post is liked or commented on by a registered user or follower of the ENGEL Instagram account, this activity is visible on the Instagram account of ENGEL and is displayed in the timeline as a notification.

Users also have the option to contact ENGEL directly on Instagram (e.g., in response to a Story).

Instagram also offers completely anonymized insights and demographic evaluations of our Instagram account and its followers. It is not possible for ENGEL to draw conclusions about individual persons or accounts from these evaluations.

Posts on Instagram can be analyzed in terms of reach and interactions. Followers can be sorted by parameters such as age and gender. This in turn can be used to derive target groups. The number of accounts reached, engagements and impressions can also be measured. Followers can be sorted by top cities and countries. These are anonymized data and evaluations without personal reference.

For more information about privacy and the use of personal data by Instagram and the Meta Group, please see Instagram's privacy policy.

Privacy policy on LinkedIn

ENGEL is represented on the LinkedIn network. The provider of this network is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We use the tool "Analytics".

With the help of the analysis tool, which is available to every user, ENGEL can analyze the success of its own campaigns within LinkedIn in particular.

ENGEL receives all data for statistical evaluation exclusively in anonymized form, so that no conclusions can be drawn about individuals.

Page views are recorded in line charts based on anonymized data. ENGEL has the option to select the time period and receives the information whether the page was accessed from a stationary or a mobile device.

Demographic data on visitors to the site is also collected. Filtering by location or field of activity (e.g. engineering) is possible. The access data is collected anonymously and evaluated statistically. Evaluations can be done by time periods or user devices.

LinkedIn allows to show statistics on the development of follower numbers. In this context, a distinction is made between so-called "organic" and "sponsored" content. Organically acquired followers and their interactions are those that are acquired without paying for the promotion of the posts. “Sponsored content" is the term used for ENGEL posts that have been advertised or paid for.

Analyses and evaluations are also possible with regards to various engagement indicators (such as clicks, impressions or likes) for individual posts. This allows ENGEL to evaluate the response to the shared posts.

ENGEL can manually access profiles of those who like, share or comment on our posts. The user can decide at his own discretion what information is publicly visible on the respective profile.

You can contact us directly using the contact form provided on ENGEL's LinkedIn page. To use the contact form, you must enter your name and contact details (e-mail address). ENGEL will contact you and use the data provided for this purpose based on your consent. You can give your consent by ticking the checkbox directly in the form. After submitting the form, the information you entered will be transmitted by LinkedIn to ENGEL. The processing of your personal data by ENGEL is carried out in accordance with our privacy policy.

All further information can be found in LinkedIn's privacy policy.

Data protection information on XING

The data can then be linked to the user ID for analysis purposes. XING members have the option of adjusting the tracking in the settings.
