ENGEL data interfaces
Here you will find all the necessary documents for more detailed information about ENGEL data interfaces.
Euromap 63 was defined in 2000 as the Data Exchange Interface for injection moulding machines. The Euromap 63 standard is the predecessor to Euromap 77 and defines the data exchange with injection moulding machines via files.
Instructions for the creation of job files (requirement data for Euromap 63): These instructions deal specifically with the handling of the interface, which is not covered in the general specification.
System specification: This specification defines the requirements regarding the required machine data acquisition servers (hereinafter referred to as MDE servers) and the data network for the configurations of the data interface modules.
Installation Guide (English only): This manual describes the installation of the Euromap63 server module which is mandatory for the communication between injection moulding machines and central computers.
The sample files contain JOB files for all possible EM63 functions. Additionally, the option "Dolphin", automatic start of certain EM63 jobs, is included.
The technical recommendation according to the EUROMAP standard.
Download Euromap 63 "Server Module": Download
Download module
Follow installation instructions
To enable data exchange via the Europmap63 interface, the software module must be installed on the computer/server and the machine must be properly configured. If you need assistance with installation and setup, please contact service.softwareproducts@engel.at.
MES solution authentig
authentig supports the ERP interface connection via the EM63 interface and offers practice-oriented traceability solutions, powerful cockpits for decision-makers and production control with algorithms for planning optimisation (e.g. set-up time, energy, inventory costs). You can find more information here.
Connectivity
Networking your machines is a prerequisite for the operation of Euromap 63. The product specific data will only flow once connectivity has been established. For the machine connection, it is advisable to involve your IT department or a person in your company who has IT knowledge to support you with the IP configuration. If you do not have IT, you are welcome to contact us and we will support you.
To establish connectivity, IP addresses must be configured on the machine. Find here the descriptions according to the control type:
The current definition of Euromap 77 was published in January 2019 as an OPC UA interface for data exchange between plastics and rubber machines with an MES (Manufacturing Execution System). You can find more information about this under this link.
Overview of the availability of the functions specified in EUROMAP 77.
These are available for download at the following addresses:
The UaExpert® is an OPC UA client with a wide range of functions which is used by ENGEL to test the E77 communication between the injection moulding machine and the data acquisition server.
Further interfaces for machines with CC200 control. The E-factory.Basecom is an OPC server. By implementing the E-factory.Basecom, standardised and simple access to data and functionalities of the EC/CC200 control is possible.
System specification: This specification defines the requirements regarding the required machine data acquisition servers and the data network for the data interface module configurations.
Functional description: Contains a rough overview, the functional and configuration description.
Interface description: Includes the description of the additional COM interface "IKebaOpcConfig" available in e.factory.Basecom + the description of the structure and functionality of all OPC items contained in e.factory.Basecom.
