Registration in the e-connect customer portal
Please follow these steps to register for the e-connect customer portal.
FAQs on the customer portal
This may have happened because you used an outdated link. Since October 2024, our e-connect customer portal is accessible at https://connect.engelglobal.com. You can log in there as usual. If you already had a user account on the previous portal but did not actively migrate it, please register again.
By migrating to our new platform, you will benefit from latest technology, improved performance and an optimised user experience. The new e-connect portal also offers extended service packages to provide additional support for your day-to-day operations in production monitoring and process analysis.
Most users can authenticate themselves at the sign in via the "Microsoft Company Account". If this is not possible, please try the other two options (with your company account!).
Are you receiving an (error) message? Search the other FAQ entries for the corresponding message and follow the steps described there.
You have entered your sign in details but have received an error message. Unfortunately, the authentication was not successful.
There may be 2 reasons for this error message:
Your company may use a different alias (email address) that is required for the identity provider.
You may need to create an account with an identity provider first (we currently support Google Account, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Account).
Please clarify the reason that applies to you with your IT department.
The authentication was successful. However, after successfully signing in, you received the message “Need admin approval”.
Please contact your IT administrator and provide the following information:
"The ENGEL e-connect customer portal requires access to data (name, telephone number, email address) from your Azure tenant, which requires the so-called Admin Consent in Microsoft Entra ID. Therefore, the consent of your administrator (more precisely the Global Domain Admin) is required. This Global Domain Admin (usually part of your IT department) should have the necessary authorisations to approve this request. Your IT department should have been notified, but this request may have ended up in the spam folder."
Here is the link to the Microsoft documentation for your IT department on how to approve the request: Review and take action on admin consent requests - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn
There are two other, simpler ways in which most of our customers give this consent:
Your IT department will grant you global admin authorisations to complete the login process and set approval for future users.
We invite your Global Domain Admin to the new portal, and your admin completes the sign-up process, setting authorisation for future users.
In addition, the general procedure for such admin content requests can be edited as described in the following link: Configure how users consent to applications - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn
You can find detailed instructions on how to register for the e-connect customer portal in our registration documentation.
