Lightweight construction for urban mobility
victory 1560/180
Bicycle handlebars made of polyamide are made on the tie-bar-less victory injection moulding machine using the ENGEL fluidmelt process – a solution for producing hollow parts in injection moulding. The combination with unidirectional (UD) continuous fibre tapes gives the component additional stiffness and structural strength. The result: weight savings combined with high stability and maximum design freedom. The bicycle handlebar is one of the JEC Composites Innovation Award finalists in the category Sport, Leisure & Recreation.
