viper: Powerful and flexible to use

ENGEL has been building high-performance cartesian robots, also called gantry or linear robots, since 1980. Our viper robots are the perfect addition to your injection molding machine. The innovative and sturdy design offers increased payload capacity with low dead weight. The digital solutions from our inject 4.0 program ensure that all movements are aligned.

Thanks to the design with laser-welded steel profiles, the dead weight of the viper cartesian robots is low. At the same time, the stability is high. iQ vibration control ensures automatic compensation for vibration. The gantry robot is ideally suited for payloads from 6 to 120 kg.

Integrated control concept for easy operation

Thanks to our integrated control concept, the linear robot can be operated directly from the CC300 machine controller. This guarantees a smooth interaction of the components. The exchange of signals is also used for the integration of other peripheral devices.

Reduction of cycle time through optimized path planning

The movement of the cartesian robot should be perfectly coordinated to the motion sequences of the injection molding machine. This reduces the cycle time in many applications.

Our digital solution iQ motion control solves this challenge in the production of parts with a long core. These can be housing components, boxes, or containers.
