ENGEL Group strengthens local presence: TMA Automation opens new headquarters and production site in Gdańsk
With the opening of its new headquarters and production site in Gdańsk, TMA Automation Sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of the ENGEL Group, is taking an important step in the company’s continued development. The new site provides the conditions needed to implement comprehensive automation projects for plastics processing, as well as sophisticated stand-alone robotics solutions, more efficiently.
TMA Automation was founded in 2010 and had since been based in rented premises at a technology park in Gdynia, where around 40 employees were most recently working. At the new site in Gdańsk, development, assembly and project execution can now be brought closer together.
“Since the company was founded, we have built TMA step by step together with our team, customers and partners. With the new headquarters and production site, a new chapter begins for us,” says Marek Łangowski, company founder and Managing Director of TMA Automation. “The new site gives us the conditions we need to implement comprehensive automation projects under significantly improved circumstances and to further develop our organisation. In addition, it offers sufficient reserve capacity for further growth,” adds Piotr Orlikowski, also company founder and Managing Director of TMA Automation.
Targeted addition to ENGEL automation
Within the ENGEL Group, TMA Automation provides a targeted addition to the existing automation expertise in technology fields such as in-mould labelling, side-entry robots, as well as assembly and inspection automation. At the same time, TMA strengthens regional customer proximity in Poland and Eastern Europe – with local language capabilities, a high degree of flexibility, regional market expertise and direct project execution.
“TMA Automation represents an important addition to our automation expertise within the ENGEL Group,” explains Walter Aumayr, Vice President Automation of the ENGEL Group and Managing Director at TMA Automation. “The company brings specific know-how in important areas of automation and is also deeply rooted in the Polish market. With the new site, we are linking this local strength even more closely with the international opportunities of the ENGEL Group.”
Local proximity and an international perspective
The Polish and Eastern European markets play a central role for TMA Automation. Proximity to customers, direct communication and flexibility in project implementation are key strengths of the company. At the same time, TMA Automation is not focused exclusively on the local market; with the support of the ENGEL Group, it is also intended to implement more international automation projects in future.
“With TMA Automation, we are strengthening our expertise in important fields of application and expanding our customer proximity in Poland and Eastern Europe. The new site in Gdańsk creates the conditions needed to integrate TMA even more strongly into the ENGEL Group’s international automation projects,” says Stefan Engleder, CEO of the ENGEL Group.
