1974/75:  Inception of ENGEL in Canada
Office opened in Guelph, Ontario to provide sales & service subsidiary for the North American market.

1977:  ENGEL builds 30,000 square foot plant
A 32,000 square foot plant, with 7,000 square feet of office space is built in Guelph, Ontario.

1983:  First expansion
ENGEL Canada adds 63,000 square feet of production space.

1989/90
Opening of Engel Machinery Inc., USA
76,500 square foot production facility for large machines is opened in York, Pennsylvania.

1993
Another expansion for Engel Canada Inc.
The third expansion, consisting of 62,500 square feet of plant/production space and 15,000 square feet of office space is completed.

1994/95:  Expansion for ENGEL facilities in North America
ENGEL's facility in York, Pennsylvania doubles production space.
Engel Canada purchases 30,000 square foot facility to house production of robots and automated systems.

1995:  20th anniversary celebration
Engel Canada Inc. celebrates 20 years in North America.

1996:  Engel de Mexico S.A. de C.V.
ENGEL opens a sales, service and spare parts office in Mexico City, MX.
Engel Canada Inc. receives ISO 9001 certification.

2002:  Latest expansion at Engel in Guelph
The latest expansion in Guelph was completed in September of 2002, with the addition of another 32,000 square feet of plant and office space.

2006:  New Technical Center in York, PA
ENGEL opens 7,500 square foot Technical Center to give an added dimension to the customer service and support provided in North America.

2009:  New Technical Center in Corona, CA
ENGEL opens 7,300 square foot Technical Center which supports customers in the Western US region with injection molding equipment displays and demonstrations, mold trials, customer training and a spare parts inventory.


2010:  Engel de Mexico opens new Technical Center
ENGEL de Mexico moves to Queretaro.  The new facility offers a fully equipped Technical Center, along with sales, technical service, training and spare parts inventory.
