ENGEL Introduces Scrap Bonus

Switch New for Old: Achieve savings – and $5,000 bonus In these economically challenging times, maximizing the efficiency of an injection molding machine is extremely important. Old machines that have many years of service can become energy hogs. A new machine can typically pay back the investment in a short time. As an additional incentive for companies to switch an old machine for a new one, ENGEL is now offering a scrap bonus of $5,000. This scrap bonus applies to any new ENGEL machine and is available until September 30, 2009.

In this economic climate, all companies are looking for ways to cut costs and achieve savings.  Molders can look to find those savings by replacing inefficient machines that have been in service for many years.  The development of more energy efficient injection molding machine models, and the power savings they offer, make new machines vastly superior.  To make it easier for injection molders to make the switch and buy a new machine, ENGEL is now offering a scrap bonus. 

How it works
Injection molders who replace an old injection molding machine with a new, state-of-the-art ENGEL machine will receive a bonus of $5,000.  To be eligible for the bonus, the purchaser must provide proof that the machine has been taken out of service and scrapped.  All companies need to do is provide the machine’s serial number tag as well as the date and location of scrapping. The bonus will then be credited toward the purchase price of the new Engel machine. 

In addition to the ENGEL scrap bonus, there are other incentives for companies to purchase a new machine this year.  These incentives include a temporary tax benefit of up to 90 percent depreciation in the year the equipment is installed (expires, December 31, 2009), and possible rebate and grant opportunities from utility companies for companies installing more energy efficient equipment.
