ENGEL North America Opens California Technical Center

Demonstrating the company’s continuing dedication to the North American injection molding market, ENGEL North America has opened a fully-equipped, 7,300 sq. ft. technical center in Corona, Calif.

Injection molding equipment displays and demonstrations, mold trials, customer training and a spare parts inventory are all part of the new California technical center opened this week by ENGEL North America, a world leader in the design and manufacture of injection molding machines and part-handling automation systems. The 7,300 sq. ft. facility, located in Corona, Calif., serves ENGEL’s Western U.S. region.

“We’re pleased to offer our western region customers a fully-equipped technical center that is capable of handling the technologically demanding applications in this region,” said Steve Braig, president and CEO of ENGEL North America. “This location will significantly enhance the delivery of local customer support.”

Key to the new facility is a sophisticated technical center that features a molding room, process applications and training, as well as in-stock machines and an extensive parts and repair inventory. Chris Kightlinger, regional sales manager with ENGEL North America, said, “This facility allows us to have the technical expertise on hand to provide process development and improvements and training, as well as being stocked for quick delivery of machines.”

The technical center will be equipped with several of ENGEL’s latest all-electric injection molding machines. In addition, the center will have a machine with a legacy control platform for training of long-term customers, according to Kightlinger.

In addition, the Corona technical center will feature an extensive maintenance and spare parts inventory, as well as a dedicated training center. “We have designed this center to be a complete, technical resource for our western customers. We can now supply molders with machines, spare parts, training, operational assistance and ongoing support, immediately and locally. This will help molders be more responsive to their own market’s needs,” said Braig.
