Senior Accountant

Engel Machinery, a world leader in plastic injection molding technologies is looking for a Senior Accountant.  We are seeking qualified individuals to take ownership of the general accounting functions and meet timely corporate reporting requirements; this person must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.  A high level of confidentiality is an absolute requirement.

your tasks

• Ensure that adequate controls are in place to ensure timely financial reporting, and maintaining accurate books and records.
• Reconcile accounts; report and analyze variances to budget and forecasts; make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures; process fixed asset accounting.
• Generate closing entries and prepare accounting statements and other reports to both corporate and site level.
• Assist in the development of annual budget.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, assisting cost center managers with explanation of results, forecasts, and budgets.
• Provide support for annual external audit
• Assist with external tax reporting requirements.

our requirements

• B.S. Accounting Degree plus three - five years of general accounting with emphasis in general ledger and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment or comparable public accounting experience
• Experience/Understanding multiple sites operations 
• Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
• Excellent Organization, Planning Skills and Work Ethic
• Strong Transaction Analysis & Decision Support skills
• In-depth knowledge of Excel and ERP systems, preferably SAP
