Schwertberg/Austria - October 2007. With the motto „Engineering the future” injection moulding machine manufacturer ENGEL presented itself on the K-fair in Düsseldorf. With great success.
In total 17 machines were exhibited, three new product introductions and approx. twenty percent more visitors to the booth. Much attention was given to the new fully-electric e-max compact machine, the EXJECTION® process as well as the new ENGEL speed with 5.000 kN clamping force.
With a total of 17 injection moulding machines, 9 of them on the 1.100 m2 main booth ENGEL presented more machines this year than ever before. The displays were clearly focalized on five target markets: the automobile industry, medical technology, the packaging industry, teletronics, and technical moulding. In addition numerous process and application technology innovations were presented.
The Highlights
ENGEL received special attention with the EXJECTION® process. As a global technological innovation, EXJECTION® combines the advantages of both extrusion and injection moulding. To support the production of profile-type plastic parts using injection moulding technology. This was demonstrated on a fully-electric ENGEL e-motion 200/55 injection moulding machine with a mould for producing 930 mm long thin-wall sections.
The most important technical innovation displayed on the machine side was the newly developed, compact, fully electric ENGEL e-max machine. A machine which is for the first time, price competitive to a comparable full-hydraulic machine and scores with high dynamics, excellent performance, high pressures and maximum precision.
ENGEL also showed the speed 500. Up to now the largest packaging machine in the ENGEL speed machine line with 5.000 kN clamping force.
“With its appearance in Düsseldorf ENGEL once more proved its international market leadership. Strong innovations, an excellent appearance in the new corporate design and a fabulous, engaged team guaranteed for one of the most successful K-fairs in our history. We see this as a confirmation, but also as an incentive for the future... to face the market with full power, high professionalism and strength in innovation”, says Dr. Peter Neumann, CEO ENGEL Holding
